2010 Lone Star State Scholars Night @ the Ballpark

It's back! After rave reviews and a huge crowd for our first three Lone Star State Scholars Night at the ballpark, we are following through on our promise to continue the tradition and have another night this year. We heard so many kind notes and comments from people who traveled from all over the state to be part of this special event. We're happy to say, we're going to have another great event in 2010!

In an effort to provide you with a lot of value for your money, the Rangers and Lone Star State Scholars have teamed up with an incredible amount of events and special gifts. We are still finalizing all the details but will post them when they are set.

Special PreGame Ceremony to Honor Scholars
Prior to the game at the Ballpark @ Arlington, Scholars will take part in a special ceremony in which the Scholars will be honored. We are still in the process of planning this event but in the past we have had both Ranger alumni, current Rangers players, the Six Shooters (Ranger cheerleaders), and the Ranger Mascot on hand. We expect Rangers alumni to be on hand to speak and sign autographs for Scholars and their families only. Details for this event are still being finalized and will be updated on this web site in the near future.

Seats
THIS INFORMATION IS FROM OUR 2009 EVENT. IT WILL BE UPDATED LATER WHNE FINALIZED. Lone Star State Scholars will sit in three different areas of the stadium so that you have a choice of seats for your enjoyment and family budget. The Lower Reserved Seats ($xx) and Lexus Club Terrace ($xx) provide two choices at the same price while our Bleacher tickets ($xx) provide a more economical way to enjoy the game while still sitting in the lower deck.

GameDay T-Shirts Available
Again this year, you will have a chance to buy a special commemorative t-shirt for the event. You'll see many Scholars and their families wearing this popular t-shirt. (Pictures on this web site contain shirts from previous years). T-Shirts will be shipped prior to the game so participants may wear them to the game. Cost of the T-Shirt is $13.45.

Ticket Processing Fee: Your order will incur a $9 ticket processing fee that includes putting together your order and any shipping and handling regardless of how many tickets or shirts you may order. (This compares very favorably to ordering tickets online through Ticketmaster (where you would not be eligible to participate in the Scholars special events) and you would pay a $1.75 order processing fee plus a ticket fee of $4.00 (Corner box) or $3.75 (Bleacher) per ticket!)

Hotel Information

WE HAVE NOT FINALIZED A HOTEL FOR 2010. WE ARE NEGOTIATING WITH AREA HOTELS AND WILL POST THE INFORMATION HERE. THIS IS INFO FROM OUR 2009 EVENT. Lone Star State Scholars has secured a limited number of hotel rooms for Scholars coming in from out-of-town and a special discounted rate at the Crowne Plaza Suites Arlington. The room is perfect for families to stay in. Each room is a suite featuring one room with either a king bed or two doubles, and a pull-out full size sleeper sofa in the other room. There are two TVs in each room as well as a refrigerator and free wireless Internet. The hotel features the only indoor pool in Arlington and has two restaurants. The hotel is located 2.5 miles from the ballpark. Lone Star State Scholars has received a discounted rate of $109 per night (regular $189). These rooms are available on a first-come, first served basis so make your reservations ASAP. To reserve, call the hotel at 817-394-5000 and ask for the Lone Star State Scholars rate.
